We were really afraid we had been robbed. Our passports, money and other important documents were all missing. We looked everywhere for them, before finally finding Bunny, wearing our moneybelt, parading back and forth in front of the mirror rapping “Hey, must be the money!”
We were not amused and told her that a) she should never play with our money and b) she has a horrendous singing voice. She didn’t care.

We took Bunny to Topkapi Palace in Istanbul and she was under the mistaken impression that we were actually going to allow her to stay there permanently. She kept making comments about how this was “finally a step up from that awful dorm room we’ve been living in”.

Despite my insistent reminders to Bunny that we needed to be careful about our budget in Turkey, she somehow managed to splurge on a $6 styrofoam cup of hot chocolate.
Bunny seemed to love lounging on the table watching people walk by in the busy neighborhood of Sultanahmet in Istanbul. Emily’s friend Suzanne and Emily begged her to please hurry up but she seemed insistent that we were on vacation and “vacations are never hurried.” Bunny did seem slightly tired after her wild night of belly-dancing the preceding evening. She claimed she was “getting to know the locals – the local way”.
